Yet To Be Tested

I am extremely fortunate to receive products through blogging events and as Christmas or birthday presents, and this means I have quite the collection, including quite a few which I have not yet used. This isn't because I'm ungrateful or forget about them, quite the opposite! I treasure them and save them for special occasions and pick-me-ups. Here's what I'll be putting to the test next...

Maybelline Dream Velours Hydratint Matte Foundation
As a dry skinned doll, I am always wary of matte formulas resulting in chalky, patchy finishes, but I was desperate to try something different to my usual glowy choices. The 'hydratint' claim reeled me in but I will still wait until my skin is at its plumpest to sample this.

Topshop Contour Cream
I swiped this in their New Year sale and I'm secretly hoping I don't adore it as I won't be able to restock! Contouring is quite tricky for me, as I tend to get blemishes on my cheeks and the process makes them look 10x worse, so I'm saving this for a very good skin day. The cream formula should be easy to blend, I just hope it dries down to a solid finish- I'd hate to smudge it!

Technic Get Gorgeous Highlighter*
I love the swirly finish of this budget babe, as it looks a lot more high end, and in my experience Technic packaging is pretty sturdy. The oyster pink colour also gets a thumbs up from me as I always favour a pale shade, but not stark white. In all honesty this looks quite chalky to me, but I expect it will make a cracking inner eye highlight.

Makeup Geek 'Charmed' Foil Eyeshadow
Having tried other shades of the foil formula, I can tell you that it is the most buttery, pigmented kind you could ever ask for. This does mean it can fade and slip, so I'm still experimenting with the right bases and techniques, but that doesn't alter my love for this mystical shade. The silvery olive green reminds me of Slytherin. It's unique and utterly stunning- hence why I'm saving it for something special!

Clinique High Impact Mascara
At £15.75 for a full sized 8g tube, this is an item I'd hate to repurchase. However, I have heard great reviews that claim it is worth every penny, and if I am honest with myself I know that it is better to invest in one great-but-pricey mascara than a bunch of disappointing cheaper ones. Luckily I have 2 testers so I can give this a good go before splashing the cash.

FakeKittens mascara
There is no indication as to whether this is volumising, curling, lengthening, or waterproof, so I guess my best bet is to go in with an open mind and hopefully be pleasantly surprised! A lengthening mascara is £7 for 10g on their website, so it would be really nice for this one to beat the Clinique.

Ted Baker Lipstick and Lip Stylo
Every Christmas, Boots do a big Ted Baker beauty gift set, which is always crammed full of rose gold details, floral prints, well chosen colours, and some really good formulas. I received one for Christmas 2016 and it contained one of the best eyeshadow trios I own! Unfortunately Boots haven't yet twigged that they should sell these makeup items year round, and I've been putting off trying these lovely lippies because I know I'll be sad when the colours run out.

Now that I have pictures of all these crisp, unused products, I promise I will try them out! If there is anything you'd like a review on then please lemme know.

What products would you like to try next?

*Product was gifted to me in a goodybag- how kind!
